How Scaler 2 Works

Scaler 2 listens to your playing (MIDI or audio) and identifies the key and scale. It then suggests chords that fit harmonically, organized by function and style. You can browse through suggested progressions, select the ones that fit your track, and then add performance variations, expression patterns, and bass lines.

The plugin works in two main modes: detection mode (learn what you’re playing) and suggestion mode (browse matching chords and progressions). The chord sets are organized by musical style and artist, giving you access to the harmonic vocabulary of different genres.
