Thenatan Bells — First Last Trap VST Instrument

Bell sounds are everywhere in modern trap, hip-hop, and lo-fi production. The challenge is finding bell sounds that don’t sound like every other producer’s go-to preset. Thenatan Bells VST gives you a dedicated instrument built around bell tones — with a 4-layer architecture, XY blend control, and over 125 factory presets to browse through. The sample library is compact at around 150 MB on disk, but the range of sounds you can create with the layering system goes far beyond what the file size suggests.

Whether you’re making trap melodies, chillhop beats, or experimental textures, this VST puts a wide variety of bell-based sounds at your fingertips — from clean and bright to processed and gritty.

How the 4-Layer Architecture Works

Each preset in BELLS VST can use up to 4 independent sample layers. You can blend them using the XY Circle control — a visual pad that lets you morph between different combinations of layers in real time. Move your mouse around the XY pad and the sound shifts smoothly between layer combinations, which makes it easy to find sweet spots you wouldn’t discover with static parameters.

Each layer has its own controls for gain, pan, tuning, high-pass and low-pass filters, and reverse playback. You can bypass layers, swap samples manually, and adjust attack and release independently per layer.

The effects section gives you a full chain without needing external plugins:

• Tremolo — speed controlled by modwheel for rhythmic movement
• Panner — auto-panning for width and motion
• NY Compressor — New York-style parallel compression for punch

• Bit Crusher — lo-fi and digital destruction
• Saturation — warmth and harmonic content
• LP/HP Filters — further sculpting of the frequency range
• Stereo Widener — expand the stereo image
